So if ya have been reading my topics ya know that i am CONSTANTLY reinstalling, and upgrading my computer!

well here we go again

seems my ssds (solid state drives, running raid 0) are fucking up once again, and i need to replace them...

i just dropped down $400 on this new ssd and i should see a HUGE jump from the current ssds im using now

i just bought the ssd today (4-9-10) and it should arrive wednesday-thursday
Ill probably reinstall Friday cuz i got work all day Thruday.
Ill prop take me a day or 2 to reinstall.

so i should be gone next thursday, and be back Sunday!



oh and ps,
after i install the new ssd i will update benchmark the ssd and see how fast it runs and post up here, so stay tuned.

Im up and running atm, but i still gotta install all my appz.



I got work all day thursday, and i will start installing all my appz and shit thurday night.

My sister has a laptop and im planning to upgrade her hard drive.
Right now her current hard drive is only running at 4200 rpms, so update the labtop with my old ssd will give it a boost.

using a program called crystaldiskmark, here are my read and write speeds







as you can see, im getting Sequential read speeds of 233 mb/s.
that is fucking amazing!

this ssd even blows the Western Digital VelociRaptor (the worlds fastest hard-drive at 10,000 rpms) outta the water.




lets compare

the VelociRaptor gets 166 mb/s
my ssd gets 233.

pretty big difference




plus its totally silent, unlike the VolociRaptor which is loud as hell since its 10,000 rpms
